Lajos Sárközy Jr. and his Band

A concert of the virtuoso artist who has been awarded numerous prestigious awards.

Lajos Sárközi was born in Budapest in a family of seven generations of musicians. He started playing the violin at the age of 5. At the age of 13, he was admitted to the special talents class of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music. At the age of 15, he won the Hungarian jazz violin competition ‘Gábor Radics’, after which his solo album "I am Only Fifteen" was released. At this time, he was also invited to lead the National Philharmonic Orchestra, where he had the opportunity to play with Zoltán Kocsis. In 2015, the musical society elected him to lead the Gipsy Philharmonic Orchestra, as artistic director and first violinist. In 2013, he was the music producer of Nóta TV as long as the channel existed. He toured the United States with Rolling Stones saxophonist Tim Ries.

The band is a regular performer at many recognised domestic and international festivals. E.g. Cziffra festival, Kaposfest, Festival Academy. They were finalists in the Chamber Virtuosi classical music TV competition.
