Bon-Bon

The ensemble was formed in May 1995. Its members, Péter Szolnoki and Tamás Török, first met in a formation called Bang Bang, then, in the mid-nineties they formed Bon-Bon, one of the ensembles playing the highest-standard rock music. On 12 November 1999, they performed in front of 14,000 people in the Budapest Sports Hall as guests of Irigy Hónaljmirigy, then they were asked to write the theme song for the movie Europa Express, titled “Gengszterdal” (Gangster Song), the same year, on 20 September, their fifth album titled “The Name Is Bon... Bon-Bon” was released. Their cover song "Sexepilem" (My Sex Appeal) became the hit of the year and earned them their first gold record. On 19 March 2000, they held a full-house album launch concert at Petőfi Hall. In 2001 they performed in New York, and in 2010 they released a new album celebrating their 15th anniversary, entitled “Mindig úton” (Always on the Road).
