Csángó folk music from Moldavia and Gyimes - concert of the Tatros Ensemble, guest: Anita Vrencsán

The Tatros Ensemble was founded in Budapest by the joy of playing music together and the love of the traditional folk music folk dance and culture of Moldavia and Gyimes. Their role models are the masters living in traditional village environments. It takes its name from the Tatros River, which rises in the Csík Mountains on the border of the Transylvanian county of Hargita, crosses the Gyimes Mountains and then, leaving the Carpathians, joins the Szeret River in Moldavia. To this day, the orchestra finds inspiration and renewal in the source, learning the tricks of Csángó music from those who live in the tradition, and also applying them.

Members of the band: Ferenc Ladányi – recorders, Júlia Lerner – violin, Gábor Illés - cobza, Balázs Vellner - drums, gardon, guest: Anita Vrencsán – vocal
