Exhibition of the Holy Right Hand and the Golden Train
Ceremonial exhibition of the recreated iconic reliquary
You can visit the Golden Train, a national treasure of Hungary. The impressive carriage was built for the 900th anniversary of the death of the founder of the state in 1938, however, during the Second World War, the railway carriage taking the “Holy Right Hand” on a nationwide tour was destroyed. The reconstruction started in 2015 at the initiative of the Budakeszi Cultural Foundation, and the recreated Golden Train was inaugurated on 20 August 2020, allowing visitors to see it up close again this year.
