FILM SCREENING: Hadik

1757. András Hadik and his all-determined team carry out the most daring Hussar prank in history. During the Seven Years' War, Hadik is given a special mission by Maria Theresa: he and his Hussars must secretly advance as far as Berlin to seize and besiege the enemy’s capital while Prussian King Frederick the Great is away. In just six days, Hadik and his troops covered the 450 kilometres in the cover of night to ambush the city and the garrison defending it. The impossible attack caught the Prussians completely by surprise, which was one of the reasons for the mission's resounding success. Hadik's army leaves occupied Berlin before enemy reinforcements arrive in the city.

Hadik is a sweeping adventure film that revisits one of the most glorious, and sadly lesser known and discussed, moments in history, with a revival of András Hadik's daring raid on Berlin and the story of the legendary 24 left-handed gloves, a star-studded parade and spectacular, large-scale action sequences.
