László Kollár-Klemencz: Öreg Banda - literary concert
“Öreg Banda” is both a family and musical novel, and at the same time a fictitious chronicle of Újhartyán. László Kollár-Klemencz’s first novel titled “Öreg Banda” was published in October 2021.
The author moved from the woods into the forest of the family. The book follows the exciting, diverse life of the writer's multi-generational musician family and the “Öreg Banda” (Old Band) formed by this family from the mid-1800s, through wars, family and social dramas to the nineteen-seventies, in a small Swabian village in Pest County, where traditions, holidays, their customs and beliefs, but often their survival, were saved by music, by the “Öreg Banda”.
