Tamás Hevesi

In 1978, he founded a college formation called HeHaKi – Japánszky 80, but he sang his new songs (Csalódás, Te csak... / Disappointment, You’re Just...) only in the Névtelen Nulla band founded in 1980.

The band moved first to Szeged in 1983, then to Budapest in 1984, where they released their first studio recordings in 1985 under the titles “Esernyő” (Umbrella) and “Miért?” (Why?). As the band achieved success, more and more opportunities came their way, until Névtelen Nulla eventually released their first album Jeremy-I-II in 1987.

Hevesi travelled the world playing and singing guitar, making a living playing music on the streets, until a millionaire manager in Fremantle, Australia, spotted his talent and offered him a contract. He travelled home in 1989, and on 8 June he bid farewell to the country in a four-hour farewell concert with the Névtelen Nulla ensemble. Between 1990 and 1994, he completed a distance-learning degree in marketing tourism at an Australian business college.

In 1994, the video clip “Ezt egy életen át kell játszani” (You have to play this all your life) was released (produced by Gábor Herendi and his team). The album of the same title, his first solo album, went platinum, followed by many gigs.

His most successful album was “Ezt egy életen át kell játszani”, which topped the official MAHASZ charts for four weeks in 1994 and remained on the charts for 26 weeks. His song Jeremy performed with the Névtelen Nulla ensemble topped the radio playlist for several weeks, and the album Jeremy I-II sold 47,000 copies, approaching the gold record sales at the time.
