The Concert of the Kármentő Band – guests: Mihály Sipos and Mária Kardos
The Kármentő folk music band recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The reason for the foundation was the idea of organising a Hungarian Ball after the regime change, with Hungarian costumes, food and music. After the success of the ball, the group, which started as a temporary one, then continued making music together. The band tries to present the music of almost all ethnic Hungarian areas in the Carpathian Basin.
Members of the band: Mónika Szommer - vocal, Bence Németh - violin, Tamás Tudós - viola, László Kánya jr. - accordion, Zsolt V. Németh - double bass, zither, guests: Mihály Sipos (Muzsikás Band) - violin and Mária Kardos - gardon.
